Housebus Subfloor, Section B
Hey, gang! Just another quick update today to show the progress on the subfloor over the last couple weeks. I continue to do the subfloor in sections, working forward from the back of the bus and moving all the build materials back to clear off the next section of floor for working. The area I finished up at the beginning of the month was Section A, and today I wrapped up Section B.
Section A covered the rear end of the bus, up to 8 feet from the back wall. This section of the housebus floor covers the area around the wheel wells, up to about four feet in front of them. It’s not quite as far as the 8 feet in front of the wheels I’d been hoping to knock out, but at least I’m over the hump (literally)!
There’s quite a bit of work to be done on what I’m calling Section C, which is everything from this point forward, ending just behind the driver’s seat. There’s a lot of rust on the floor from a perpetually leaking window in front, and even a couple small holes in the metal that I’ll need to figure out how to patch up before I can call this section finished.
Anyway, here’s the latest batch of photos from Section B. Enjoy!
