Looking back over last week’s work plan, I actually did alright! I didn’t finish all the work I had on the list, especially the things I planned to work on during the ArtCasts, but I did succeed in actually streaming those days as planned! I finished two new FanArt pieces for the shop, got to play around with some inking techniques on the Doctor Strange piece, and even completed and posted a page to house Chutney Point AND got the pdfs up on itch.io way ahead of schedule, putting that project firmly into the ‘Done’ column for now. All in all, a successful week!

This week, though, I’ve already stumbled a bit. I’ve been so preoccupied with my pending PUA benefits coming from the state, I managed to get next to nothing finished monday. I didn’t stream as I’d planned, and didn’t get this weekly plan put together. But, the week’s not over yet, and I’ve got projects on my mind! So, let’s get started:

Tuesday

• PDXComicArts events – already done
• Planning! Need to focus on StarSpeed, finishing it up, getting it launched. Set goals and timelines, and develop a plan to meet them. Look to launch game by end of September.
• The year ahead – think about a print series, next game project
• Planning: Generate a Print & Play strategy for future games
• Planning: Think more concretely about an ecommerce strategy for art, prints, games, etc. with an eye toward promotion
• Ship Orders – quick errand
• Take Inventory – pending my plan to do a holiday sale in a couple months, I want to make sure my inventory is updated

Wednesday

• ArtCast: Was going to reschedule and cancel my Wednesday ArtCasts for a while, but then I missed Monday this week, so…
• 5×7 – The Thing? Luke Skywalker? Transformers?
• Post-ArtCast: Post progress updates to Patreon, site
• Client work: comp sketches for book cover project
• Quizissippi

Thursday

• Game Pages – Standard format is nearly done, but could be tightened up a bit. Generate images for 8-Bit Tarot decks, work on layout for those pages
• PDXComicArts Events & Podcast playlist
• Website maintenance – reorganize Categories
• Client work: Make time for revisions, second set of comps
• StarSpeed playtest?

Friday

• ArtCast: Sketching ideas for a new print series, or new game project. Assemble a sketch journal or two. Lettering project?
• Post-ArtCast: Post progress update to Patreon, site
• Client Work: Make time for first draft pencils

Weekend

• Errands, chores. Paying bills.
• Quiz
• Client work: Make time for pencils

Looks like a pretty full week – especially today! But planning always makes me feel a bit better.
