A Tarot deck is a great creative challenge - coming up with designs for 78 completely different cards, while retaining a level of symbolism necessary for the proper use of the deck. It's something I'd always wanted to do, but just couldn't think of a worthwhile approach. Until one day when I was thinking about the coins, and how they reminded me of coins you'd collect in a Mario Bros. game. The rest just kind of snowballed from there.

The deck was originally published in a hand-assembled miniature artist's edition of 900, and is now available in a full-size tarot edition from TheGameCrafter.com.
