This one is intended to be a Cascadian Dark. Using a base recipe I picked up at work this week, but with a few modifications to make use of the hops I already have in my freezer.
Cascadian Darks are one of my favorite beer styles, and I really want to develop a good base recipe that I can use any time as a reliable dark ale, but also as a starting point for more flavor experiments.

If you’ve known me for any period of time, you’re probably aware it’s been a long-time dream of mine to build a housetruck for full-time living and working. The goal was to minimize my living expenses so I could pursue the kind of work I wanted to do: creating & selling my own art and comics, while being able to travel the country and exhibit at various art fairs and comics festivals. Well, this week that dream took a huge leap forward toward my new reality when I BOUGHT A FREAKING BUS!

This week, TheGameCrafter sent out an email announcing a new component, the Postcard Mat. This 4×6 mat, they say, is perfect for player reference cards and such. As is typical when I get these emails from TGC, I started to consider how I might use this new component in my own game. The obvious answer to me was to replace the Racer Dashboards with these cards – 4×6 is already a bit larger than what I’d been planning to use. Also the fact that it wouldn’t be a custom laser-cut component meant I’d be saving quite a bit of production cost. So I started thinking about the rest of the components.

As usual, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my Works & Plans: where I am, where I want to be, and how I might best get there. Had a lot of thoughts this week about my online stores, and the projects I’m putting my energy into. Wanted to share those thoughts while it’s all still fresh.

All this week, I’ll be doing new fan-art drawings on my Twitch Artcasts. I’m introducing a couple of new sizes for commissioned art like the Sketchcards, and I need to work up some samples in the new sizes.
